FTC Disclosure

This blog and website was put up in 2008 to build a community, and interact with you, my reader.

However, beginning in December 2009 the FTC requires bloggers to provide disclosures wherever there could be hidden interests, unspoken biases, etc., related to any recommendtations I make. To comply with this, here we go...

Disclosure 1:

I'm a businessman.  I'm here to make money, and do it by building you systems that make you money.  That's why were here.  You're here to make money, I'm here to help you do that. That's what our relationship on this blog is about.

Disclosure 2:

To comply with FTC rules, if I get a testimonial from a happy customer and I buy them lunch, I need to specify this. Or if I provide a link to a product I believe in, and get a commission in return, I also need to specify this.  Basically, every normal business interaction would need a disclaimer, which would take a lot of time and effort.

So to save everyone time and effort, and follow the rules so that everyone is happy here, consider it safe to assume that for every recommendation I make, link I give you, and any products or services I introduce you to, one or all of the following are true:

  • FTC Disclosure:  Writer got fed
  • FTC Disclosure:  Writer got some sweet gadgets
  • FTC Disclosure:  Writer got busy with member of story (ok, doubtful...I'm married...but still, it could happen)
  • FTC Disclosure:  Writer received monetary compensation
  • FTC Disclosure:  Writer received a ridiculous swag bag
  • FTC Disclosure:  Writer received stock options

Super happy fun time full 100% disclosure:

I modified the wonderful FTC disclosure from Tim Ferris' website, as he invited us to do so.  You are more than welcome to do the same with this one.  Please give proper attribution as I've done here, and then go make some money!

Any time saved so that you can focus on your business instead of covering your butt with another rule is a wonderful thing.  Thanks Tim!
